Gavin Newsom signs election security bills to thwart federal interference by Trump

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a legislative package designed to bolster election security and protect against potential federal interference. The newly enacted measures safeguard vote-by-mail procedures across the state.

In addition to protecting mail-in voting, the legislation establishes criminal penalties by making the seizure of ballots or election records a felony.
