Gianni Infantino laughs in the face of critics, claiming ‘vast majority’ of Fifa members support him

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has dismissed his critics while asserting that the vast majority of football association members support his leadership. The remarks come as Infantino's prospects for re-election received a notable boost following a policy reversal by the Asian Football Confederation.

The unexpected shift by the Asian governing body strengthens the incumbent president's position ahead of upcoming electoral processes, solidifying his backing within key regional voting blocs despite ongoing external criticism.
