Governor of Valle, after the first security council meeting with De la Espriella as president: “The Nation failed us in the previous government”

Following his presidential inauguration in Cali on Friday, August 7, 2026, Abelardo Gabriel De La Espriella Otero led his first security council for the country's southwestern region in his new role as president.

During the meeting, the Governor of Valle del Cauca stated that the national government had failed the region during the previous administration.
