Government freezes fuel prices

The Dominican Republic government announced on Friday a freeze on the prices of major fuels for the week of August 29 to September 4. This measure aims to stabilize costs for the specified period, though it does not apply universally across all fuel types.

While the primary fuels remain at frozen rates, the government simultaneously implemented price reductions for some products and increases for two others. Under the new pricing structure, premium gasoline will be sold at 341.10 pesos per gallon, while regular gasoline is set at 310.50 pesos per gallon.
