Government declares a state of emergency for 60 days in these three regions of the Peruvian coast

The Peruvian government has declared a 60-day state of emergency in specific areas along the coast, specifically targeting the districts of Pisco and San Andrés within the province of Pisco in the Ica region.

The measure was enacted through Supreme Decree No. 132-2026-PCM and published in response to escalating concerns regarding criminality and various forms of violence affecting the local population.
