Government allocates S/ 105 million in targeted subsidies to prevent increases in fares and freight costs

The government has approved a package of extraordinary measures totaling 105 million soles in targeted subsidies aimed at maintaining land transport continuity and preventing increases in passenger fares and freight costs driven by rising fuel expenses.

Under Emergency Decree No. 007-2026, the executive branch established two distinct mechanisms of economic support designed to mitigate the financial impact on the transportation sector.
