Dominican government orders departure of officials from Cuban embassy

The Dominican government has ordered the departure of nine Cuban diplomats from the Cuban embassy in Santo Domingo. President Luis Abinader confirmed the measure on Wednesday, stating that the administration has chosen to maintain discretion regarding the specific reasons for the withdrawal.

President Abinader emphasized that the government's primary objective in handling the situation with restraint is to preserve diplomatic relations between the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
