The head of Colombia's tax authority, DIAN, attributed the US tariff increase on Colombia to Donald Trump: "It's a unilateral decision."

A coalition of twenty-five Democratic-led states filed a lawsuit on Monday challenging the federal government's new tariff policy. The legal action asserts that President Donald Trump exceeded his executive authority in implementing these trade measures.

The policy in question, announced on July 23, imposes broad tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5% on imports. The plaintiffs argue that the administration's unilateral application of these duties falls outside the scope of the president's legal powers.
