Colombian authorities launched an offensive in the rural areas of El Hoyo and El Roblal, located in the northern Antioquia municipality of Briceño, targeting the armed logistics of the Farc dissident group known as Estructura 36.

The operation resulted in a significant blow to the finances and operational capacity of the dissident faction following the seizure of war material and the discovery of an illegal explosives workshop.

The intervention highlights ongoing security efforts by state forces against residual armed organizations operating in the northern region of the department.
