Drug trafficking bust on the Meta River: Military forces seized 1.5 tons of cocaine destined for export

The Colombian Military Forces, specifically through a fluvial interdiction operation conducted by the National Navy, seized approximately 1.5 tons of cocaine hydrochloride on the Meta River. The illicit cargo, totaling 1,498 kilograms, was intercepted while being transported aboard a boat near the township of Nueva Antioquia.

The operation represents a significant blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the region. The seized narcotics were reportedly intended for international export.
