Greece Braces for Prolonged Heatwave Reaching 42°C

Greece is currently facing a prolonged and severe heatwave characterized by very high temperatures that are expected to test residents' endurance. The extreme weather event has already begun and is forecasted to persist through the weekend and into the early part of next week.

Temperatures across several areas of the country are widely expected to reach 40°C, with local peaks anticipated to hit between 41°C and 42°C as the heatwave continues to grip the region.
