Greece has 500,000 Cystic Fibrosis Carriers and over 900 Patients

The Panhellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association has launched a month-long awareness campaign in Greece, beginning on World Cystic Fibrosis Day, September 8. The initiative, titled “Unlimited Breath,” aims to draw attention to the condition, which currently affects over 900 patients in the country.

Public health data indicates that approximately 500,000 individuals in Greece are carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene. The campaign serves to highlight the prevalence of the condition and the needs of the patient community through a series of scheduled activities throughout the month.
