Greek, Egyptian troops close Medusa 15 drills on Crete beach as tourists look on

Greek and Egyptian military forces concluded the multinational Medusa 15 exercise on Friday with a beach landing demonstration in Maleme, Crete. The drills, which took place from September 10–18 near Chania, involved service members navigating colored smoke as part of the final phase of the operation.

The exercise was conducted in proximity to local tourist areas, with beachgoers observing the military maneuvers. Medusa 15 is an annual joint training event led by Greece and Egypt, designed to enhance interoperability and military cooperation between the participating nations.
