Fifteen-year-old Danai Tselebi departed Athens on Friday to represent Greece at the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in California. The student from Kavala, who won Greece’s national title in the Microsoft PowerPoint 365 category earlier this year, will compete in the global final in Anaheim on Monday, July 27. The championship exam will last 100 minutes and bring together the world’s top Microsoft Office specialists.
Tselebi earned her place at the international competition after winning the gold medal at the Greek Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship. She recently completed Year 9 at the 2nd Gymnasium of Kavala and will begin high school later this year. Her success follows years of dedicated training in digital skills.
After qualifying for the national finals for the first time in 2025, she returned in 2026 with greater experience and secured the national PowerPoint 365 title. Tselebi’s qualification marks Kavala’s sixth appearance at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship since 2018. Previous competitors from the northern Greek city include Effi Ziota (2018), Christos Kioftezidis (2019), Andreas Nalbandis (2021 and 2022), and Alkmini Gaitantzi (2023).
The consistent results have established Kavala as one of Greece’s leading centres for digital excellence.
