Grinder, one of two beloved grizzly bears on Grouse Mountain, dies

Grinder, a famous grizzly bear who lived on Grouse Mountain, has died at the age of 25. The decision was made to provide a humane passing for the bear, who had reached an age beyond the average life expectancy of a male grizzly in the wild.

Grinder was adopted as a cub after being orphaned and went on to fascinate locals and tourists alike for more than two decades. During his time on Grouse Mountain, he became one of the area's most recognizable and beloved residents.

Throughout his life, Grinder helped introduce generations of visitors to grizzly bears and raised awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.
