Guatemalan authorities remain on alert and have evacuated residents from eight villages following an eruption of the Fuego volcano, one of Central America's most active volcanoes. Authorities in Guatemala have ordered evacuations around the Fuego volcano, which is erupting. The Guatemalan Seismology Institute reported a lava fountain up to 1,000 feet high.
