Guatemala initiated its first national time-use survey on Friday, aimed at measuring how the population aged 12 and older distributes the 24 hours of a day across various activities including work, study, rest, and travel.

A primary objective of the initiative is to measure the economic value of unpaid labor and caregiving responsibilities within the country.
