Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remained steady on Tuesday, with eight vessels transiting the waterway. The transit included six ships entering the strait—comprised of three tankers and three bulk carriers—and two ships exiting, consisting of one gas carrier and one tanker. Traffic at the Bab el-Mandeb chokepoint also remained largely unchanged from the previous day.

Current transit levels represent a significant decline compared to historical norms. Prior to the onset of the conflict, which began on February 28, approximately 130 to 140 ships typically transited the waterway daily. The current activity levels persist amid ongoing uncertainty regarding regional peace talks.
