Haifa mayor demands parties commit to shutting down city's petrochemical industry by 2029

Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav has called upon political parties to formally commit to shutting down the city's petrochemical industry in the Haifa Bay area by the year 2029.

The demand was issued by the mayor in response to ongoing concerns regarding public health risks and escalating security threats facing the region.
