The body of famous Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja has been found after the avalanche in Pakistan.

Rescue teams in Pakistan have recovered the body of renowned Nepali-British mountaineer Nirmal "Nims" Purja on the slopes of the Broad Peak mountain. The discovery occurred on a Sunday, four days after an avalanche struck Purja's ten-person expedition on the twelfth-highest mountain in the world.

Purja and his expedition had been reported missing following the avalanche on the 8,047-meter peak last Thursday. The operation involved rescue teams working in the area to locate members of the affected party after the severe weather event.
