Hamas’s popularity is falling, but Khalil al-Hayya remains more popular than PA’s Abbas - poll

Recent polling data indicates a continued decline in support for Hamas across both the West Bank, where backing stands at 33%, and the Gaza Strip, down to 18%. Despite this drop in popularity, Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya maintains higher public standing than Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Public trust in the Board of Peace remains low among Palestinians. Meanwhile, approximately 32% of respondents express a preference for the NCAG to assume governing responsibilities in the territories.
