Haredi demonstrators, counterprotestors clash at sixth consecutive Shabbat protest of Basimta Cafe

For the sixth consecutive weekend, Haredi demonstrators and counterprotestors clashed outside the Basimta Cafe in Jerusalem over the business being open on Shabbat. The weekly protests have drawn supporters of the business, including hundreds of secular activists holding counterprotests, alongside opposition from those who disapprove of the cafe's weekend operations.

Police intervened by setting up barricades at the location to prevent a recurrence of demonstrators forcing their way into the establishment, as clashes occurred between the opposing groups and law enforcement outside the venue.
