Bexar County sees record turnout on first day of early voting for 2026 midterms, officials say

Long lines at the polls on Monday made for a record-breaking first day of early voting in Bexar County, according to election officials. During the 2018 midterm election, 855,711 people cast a ballot in Harris County across the entire early voting period.
