Hawerchuk back as Jets’ top scorer with acquisition of original franchise’s records

The Winnipeg Jets and the NHL announced on Thursday that the official statistical history of the franchise will now include both eras of the team. As a result of this acquisition of the original franchise's records, Dale Hawerchuk has returned as the Jets' top scorer.

The integration unifies the historical statistics of the original Winnipeg Jets franchise, which relocated to Phoenix in 1996 to become the Coyotes, with the current Jets franchise, which began play in Winnipeg after the relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2011.
