The Employment Relations Authority (ERA) has ordered ERA Home Limited to pay Xuefeng Yang more than $31,000 following a ruling that he was unjustifiably dismissed and disadvantaged. Yang had been promised a minimum of 30 hours of work per week by the company.

Despite the initial agreement regarding his working hours, Yang was instead paid in cash and subsequently terminated from his position after working for only 20 days. The subsequent investigation and ruling by the Employment Relations Authority highlighted severe breaches in employment standards concerning his treatment and dismissal.
