Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies pledges $100M to cut US maternal mortality rate in half

The bipartisan campaign Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies America has announced a $100 million financial pledge aimed at making childbirth safer across the United States. The initiative was founded by Heartland Forward, a nonprofit organization established by Olivia and Tom Walton.

Announced on Thursday, the substantial commitment takes the form of a five-year initiative. The primary objective of the funding campaign is to significantly reduce the nation's maternal mortality rate, specifically targeting a fifty percent cut.
