Héctor Álvarez gana la quinta etapa y se convierte en nuevo líder de la Vuelta a Ecuador

On Friday, Ecuadorian cyclist Héctor Álvarez won the fifth stage of the 42nd edition of the Vuelta Ciclista a Ecuador. With this victory, Álvarez took over the overall lead of the cycling competition.

Additionally, compatriot and teammate Byron Guamá moved into third place in the general standings following the fifth stage of the race.
