Hegseth upgrades medals of three Marines who survived Afghanistan attack five years ago

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth upgraded the valor awards of three U.S. Marines on Wednesday. The recipients were among those guarding Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport during the 2021 evacuation of Afghanistan.
