The heirs of Dina Gottliebova Babbitt, a former prisoner at the Auschwitz concentration camp, are demanding the return of watercolor artwork created by their mother under the Nazi regime. The paintings were ordered by Josef Mengele, the notorious Nazi physician known as the "angel of death."

The legal demand targets the Auschwitz Museum, where the artworks are currently housed, as the family seeks to recover the pieces produced during their mother's imprisonment in the camp.
