Hichilema secures second term as ECZ completes count across all 226 constituencies

Hakainde Hichilema has secured a second term as President of Zambia following the completion of the national vote count. The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) confirmed the results in the early hours of Tuesday, following a process that spanned all 226 parliamentary constituencies across the country.

The announcement by ECZ Chairperson Mwangala Zaloumis concludes the electoral process, which involved a continuous count conducted throughout the night. This victory marks the beginning of Hichilema's second presidential term.
