Tanzania signs 204.7bn/- solar power project to bolster renewable energy generation

Tanzania has signed a 204.7 billion Tanzanian shillings contract for the second phase of the Kishapu Solar Power Project, located in Shinyanga. The agreement will add 100 megawatts of electricity to the national grid.

The project represents a major step forward for the country as it works to expand its renewable energy generation capabilities.
