Highly competitive Likud primaries set as Netanyahu holds expanded control over Knesset slate

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has secured expanded control over the Knesset slate for the upcoming Likud primaries following structural changes to the party's electoral process.

Under the new rules, Netanyahu will directly control eight of the first 30 spots on the candidate list. Despite this consolidation of leadership influence, the internal primary race has shaped up to be highly competitive.
