Historic heat, drought: Paks NPP may be switched off, Hungary’s power supply could be pushed into crisis, industry may grind to a halt

Hungary’s Paks nuclear power plant faces the risk of being completely taken offline on Thursday or Friday due to the exceptionally low water level of the Danube River. Péter Magyar, the prime minister, announced the potential shutdown during a press conference in Budapest.
