Historic Thessaloniki Alkazar Mosque to Reopen This Year

The historic Hamza Bey Mosque in Thessaloniki, widely known as Alkazar, is scheduled to complete its restoration in early September. The landmark is set to reopen to the public a few weeks later.

Upon reopening, the restored monument will function as a new cultural venue located in the heart of the city. It will debut with an inaugural exhibition organized by MOMus.
