Holly Cairns to miss beginning of new Dáil term on medical advice

Social Democrats leader Holly Cairns will be absent from the start of the new Dáil term following medical advice. The politician is scheduled to give birth in early November.

The required leave will temporarily take the party leader away from her parliamentary duties as the legislative term commences.
