Hong Kong records hottest day ever as Typhoon Dolphin fuels heatwave

Hong Kong has recorded its highest temperature since records began 142 years ago, with the meteorological observatory posting 36.9 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The extreme heatwave was fueled by Typhoon Dolphin, which swept warm air over the city and drove intense temperatures throughout the region, according to the official observatory.
