Hopes fish passageway will prevent mass kill ahead of hot, dry summer

A fish passageway allowing aquatic life to travel upstream into the Menindee Lakes has reopened for the final season of its three-year trial. The reopening comes as low water levels and poor water quality raise concerns about a potential mass fish kill in the Darling-Baaka river system ahead of a hot and dry summer.
