Salvador B. Gautier Hospital performs first corneal transplant

The Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Hospital announced on Sunday that it successfully performed its first corneal transplant. The milestone procedure was carried out on a female patient over the age of 60.

The patient had previously lost her vision in both eyes. This vision loss was the result of complications stemming from prior surgeries.
