Salvador B. Gautier Hospital performs first corneal transplant

The Hospital Salvador Bienvenido Gautier in Santo Domingo successfully performed its first corneal transplant this past Sunday. The procedure was conducted on a female patient over the age of 60 who had previously lost vision in both eyes due to complications arising from prior surgeries.
