How AFCON training grounds set to spur economy

Construction is underway on three modern training facilities in Arusha, Tanzania, in preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The sites, located at Mgambo and Engutoto, are being developed to host international teams during the tournament.

These infrastructure projects are projected to stimulate local economic growth. Officials anticipate that the new facilities will foster development through sports tourism, the creation of new business opportunities, and the generation of local employment.
