Hurricane Isaias strengthens, major hurricane possible before Gulf Coast landfall, NHC says

Hurricane Isaias strengthens with 110 mph winds and could become a major hurricane before making landfall along the northern Gulf Coast late Friday or early Saturday. Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen as it approaches the northern Gulf Coast, the National Hurricane Center announced.
