IDF, Shin Bet acknowledge for first time special mission to hunt down and kill all Oct. 7 terrorists

The Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security agency have acknowledged for the first time the existence of a special joint operation named the 'Nili' unit. The mission of this unit is to track down, hunt, and kill every participant involved in the Hamas-led invasion, massacre, and abductions that occurred on October 7, 2023.

According to officers within the unit, the operation relies on a combination of advanced technologies and intelligence-gathering methods. These include facial recognition software, artificial intelligence, detainee interrogations, and human intelligence (humint) to locate and target individuals who took part in the attacks.
