The Ministry of Equality says that the 016 helpline has not received "any" calls related to the Ceuta migration crisis since August

The Spanish Ministry of Equality has reported that the 016 telephone service, which provides assistance for gender-based violence, has received no calls linked to the migration crisis in Ceuta since August 4. This data follows recent efforts by the Ministry to ensure that migrant women and girls in the region are aware of the support services available to them.

In collaboration with non-governmental organizations, the Ministry has disseminated information about the 016 service to locations in Ceuta where migrant women and girls are currently residing. The service is equipped to provide assistance in 53 languages to ensure accessibility for the migrant population.
