India to host inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy; Check teams, dates and venues

Despite losing the hosting rights because of government interference in their board, Sri Lanka will still be part of the tournament The ICC has confirmed that the inaugural ICC Women's Champions Trophy will be held in India next year, after Sri Lanka were removed from hosting duties. The International Cricket Council moves the inaugural edition of next year's Women's Champions Trophy from Sri Lanka to India.

India will host the inaugural ICC Women's Champions Trophy in 2027. The six-team tournament will be played in the T20I format across two venues. Sri Lanka lost hosting rights due to governance concerns, leading to India's successful bid.

Qualified teams include India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. This event signifies a new chapter for women's international cricket.
