Indonesia’s choking wildfire, haze worsen breathing woes on Borneo

Indonesia is currently experiencing its most intense wildfires in 11 years, generating choking haze that has worsened breathing difficulties for residents on the island of Borneo.

The severe fire conditions are being driven by "super-El Nino" weather phenomena, which have caused punishing droughts and significantly elevated temperatures across the region.
