England is currently facing a severe historic water crisis, with more than half of the country officially declared to be in a state of drought. The crisis follows exceptionally low rainfall levels, recording a mere 7% of expected precipitation nationwide during the month of July.

The situation was confirmed on Wednesday by the British government's Environment Agency, marking the region's most severe drought in decades.
