Intercity buses, Israel Railways to be free on election day, Central Elections Committee decides

The Central Elections Committee in Israel has announced that intercity bus services and Israel Railways will be free of charge for citizens on election day. This initiative is intended to facilitate voter participation by removing transportation costs as a potential barrier to reaching polling stations.

The complimentary service is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the election and will remain in effect until the conclusion of public transportation operations on election day itself.
