Residents of village affected by Belgian peat fire can return home

Approximately five hundred residents of the Belgian village of Sourbrodt have been cleared to return to their homes following an earlier evacuation caused by a peat fire in the High Fens. Emergency services confirmed that conditions are now sufficiently safe for the population to re-enter the area.
