Iran-backed Houthi rebels warn against joining Saudi Arabia in Yemen's growing civil war

Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have issued a warning against countries joining Saudi Arabia in the country's growing and revived civil war. Mohamed al-Bukhaiti, a senior official and member of the Houthis' political bureau, stated that the group recently assured the Trump administration that it would not target US interests.

According to the official, Washington reached out to the rebels following their rapid military advance down Yemen's western coast to the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait earlier this month.
