Iran discovers major new gas reserves amid war-hit energy sector

Iranian authorities announced on Sunday the discovery of a significant natural gas reserve in the southern Fars province. The site is estimated to contain over 200 billion cubic metres of gas, with officials projecting that more than 160 billion cubic metres are potentially recoverable.
